Mystery of Rainbow… nah!!! You’ve Must Kidding Me!

hdwallpaper.nu

Our Wikipedia Say:
“A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.

Fire Rainbow: don’t call the firefighters, it’s not a real fire…
“Fire Rainbows” are neither fire, nor rainbows, but are so called because of their brilliant pastel colors and flame like appearance. Technically they are known as circumhorizontal arc - an ice halo formed by hexagonal, plate-shaped ice crystals in high level cirrus clouds. The halo is so large that the arc appears parallel to the horizon, hence the name.

Moon Bows: Please, don’t bow to us…
A rainbow is caused by the Sun shining on moisture droplets, most commonly in a post-rain atmosphere. A moon bow is much rarer, only seen at night when the moon is low and full to almost full.

Haloes: nice to meet you…
Like rainbows, haloes are formed around the Sun due to moisture (in this case ice crystals) being refracted from the Sun’s rays in the upper atmosphere. Sometimes two or more areas of the circle or arcs surrounding the Sun will be brighter, forming what are called Sun Dogs. Haloes can also form around the Moon, and occasionally around the brighter stars and planets like Venus.

Northern Lights: Ghost of Viking uh..?
The Northern Lights, commonly referred to as the Aurora Borealis, are the result of interactions between the Sun and Earth's outer atmosphere. They are one of the most spectacular light shows to watch as vivid colors glow in the sky. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is called the Aurora Australis.

Leprechauns: The Hunter…
In the end of rainbow, Leprechauns buried the treasure…
Science proves that there is no ends of rainbows, it is only an optical illusion…

But, who knows… You’ll missed it if you not try it….

Irving: “Sleepy Hollow”, Don’t Forget to Bring Your Head Always

sites.google.com

Every country with Halloween celebration must be familiar with Sleepy Hollow, the horseman without head, which maybe have an interest to your beloved head. The original author is an American writer’s Washington Irving while he was living abroad in Birmingham. The original story titled “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, first published in 1820. It a “must read” if you’re a classic mystery stories fanatic. The story is started with impressive classical romance: a humble man (hero), princess, and a rival. Located at Sleepy Hollow (oh, it’s a place name for sure), New York, a village of Dutchmen, and from its topography (valley) and unique mist, it have a spine-chilling aura that ghost stories are easily spreads like a pandemic.

Our humble star is Ichabod Crane, a humble teacher who attempt to win the heart of village: Katrina van Tassel. The rival, local hero with perfect background is Brom van Brunt. Well known as ‘Brom Bones’. And of course the infamous Headless Horseman, said to be a Hessian trooper who lost his head in a nearby battle, each night he roams the countryside in search of it.

Although “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” is as familiar a tale as “Rip Van Winkle” to generations of schoolchildren, it has not had much success on the stage because of the difficulty of staging the thrilling chase scene at the end between Ichabod and the Headless Horseman. It has, however, been turned into at least three motion pictures. In 1922 the great cowboy humorist Will Rogers starred in a silent-screen version retitled The Headless Horseman. For the second, in 1949, Walt Disney created a full-length animated feature with Bing Crosby as narrator. In 1999 Tim Burton’s version, Sleepy Hollow, made Ichabod Crane into a constable sent to investigate a number of murders attributed to the Headless Horseman. The tale was also made into a television film in 1980.

The latest adaption is Sleepy Hollow (2013), a fantasy mystery drama series co-created by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Phillip Iscove and Len Wiseman airing on the Fox network. In the series, Ichabod Crane is an English professor and turncoat during the American Revolutionary War, who awakens in the 21st century and encounters the Headless Horseman, a fellde mercenary Crane had decapitated 250 years prior. Crane teams up with Abbie Mills, a lieutenant in the town of Sleepy Hollow's sherrif's department, and together they try to stop the murderous Horseman (which is purportedly Death).
